Should I take the IELTS test on Paper or Computer?
This comes down to personal preference and choice. Some test takers will be used to paper-based tests as this might feel similar to other exam situations from school, whereas other people might feel more comfortable typing.
                                                                   
Is Computer-delivered IELTS the same content as a paper-based test?
Yes. The computer-delivered test will cover the Listening, Reading and Writing skills. The test will be the same as paper-based IELTS in terms of content, scoring, level of difficulty and question types. The Speaking test is not changing and is delivered through a trained certified Examiner, enabling real-life, two-way interaction, as in the real world.
 
Is the computer-delivered IELTS harder than IELTS paper-based?
No. The test will be the same as paper-based IELTS in terms of content, scoring, level of difficulty and question types. The only difference is you will be on a computer.
 
Am I allowed to leave the test room if I finish early?
No, you will have the full 30-34 minutes for the Listening section. You will have the full 60 minutes the Reading section. You will have the full 60 minutes for the Writing section. You will not be allowed to leave early if you finish early.

Does computer-delivered IELTS mean I’ll get my results faster?
Yes, If you take the computer-delivered IELTS test then you will receive your results 5-7 days after you complete the last section of your test.

What is the fee for the Computer-delivered test?
The fee to take the Computer-delivered test is $324 CAD.
 
Will there be more Computer-delivered IELTS sessions available during the week?
Initially, there will be one computer-delivered IELTS session available per day at Global Village Calgary.  Frequency and availability of CD IELTS will be increase gradually throughout the year. How do I register for an IELTS test?
